Robert C. Bowman Jr. 
Sacramento Attorney Robert C. Bowman, Jr. practices primarily employment law, family law, business and real estate law, utilizing his extensive experience in business, family and human resources to provide practical advice to his clients.
Mr. Bowman’s path to founder of Sacramento’s comprehensive law firm Bowman and Associates, APC. represents his style of business and life; “Success does not come to you, you have to go out and get it.” In law and in business, Robert has not waited for success, but gone out to get it.
Besides his over thirty years in the nationwide retail industry, both in management and in human resources, Robert has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. This spirit has included ownership of senior care facilities, a beauty shop, a vending business, a landscaping business and a railroad crossing business. 
David P. Foos
Attorney David Foos is a former California Superior Court Commissioner, Sacramento traffic court judge, public defender, and Legal Aid lawyer who has returned to the practice of law after nearly two decades on the bench.
After receiving his masters at UC Berkeley, David Foos attended the UC Hastings College of Law. Hastings is California’s first public law school having been established in 1878 by California’s first Chief Justice. It was not Hastings history that attracted Foos; it was the Over Sixty-Five Club.
Hastings had gathered a group of eminent jurists and scholars from the nation’s top law schools, many had been involuntarily retired at age 65. The Hastings Sixty-Five Club helped give Hastings one of the most distinguished faculties of any American law school. 
Kara Keister 
Since joining the Law Office of Bowman & Associates, APC, Kara Keister devotes her primary areas of practice to representing individuals in cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, and hostile work environments. Ms. Keister has experience in employment and civil litigation in state and federal court.
Ms. Keister also focuses on estate planning including drafting of wills and trusts and other important documents, and advising individuals and families. She also assists individuals with probate and trust administration.
Ms. Keister received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with a concentration in Taxation. Ms. Keister has been admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California along with the United States District Court, Eastern District. 
Sean Gavin
Mr. Gavin is an attorney with the Law Office of Bowman & Associates, APC. He concentrates his practice in employment law, focusing on employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Prior to joining Bowman & Associates, Mr. Gavin worked for the City of Boston’s Living Wage Division, where he was responsible for redrafting the City’s Living Wage Regulations.
In addition to handling employment law, Mr. Gavin is a civil litigator with a portfolio of cases that includes matters of construction law, landlord/tenant law, real estate law, and contract law. He received his B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Southern California and earned his Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law.

Chris Phillips
After graduating from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2007, Mr. Phillips joined Bowman & Associates as a Law Clerk for Robert C. Bowman Jr. Mr. Phillips became an attorney in 2008 and now dedicates the majority of his practice to the areas of Employment Law, Bankruptcy and Landlord Tennant disputes.
Mr. Phillips oversees a wide variety of cases that include representing plaintiffs for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, representing petitioners and creditors for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, and both landlords and tenants.
Prior to Law School, Mr. Phillips graduated from Texas Tech University where he was a starting pitcher for the Red Raider baseball team and received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science.
Mr. Phillips dedicates all of his free time to his beautiful wife Meghan and the newest addition to the Phillips family, baby Delaney. 
Tobin Dietrich 
Tobin Dietrich is an attorney with the Law Office of Bowman & Associates, APC. His practice is focused on trust and probate litigation, serving as counsel to trustees and beneficiaries as well as will disputes. Mr. Dietrich also handles a variety of civil litigation claims and represents injured workers before the workers’ compensation appeals board. Prior to joining Bowman & Associates, Mr. Dietrich worked for the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant for Representative Jerry McNerney.
Mr. Dietrich has successfully represented clients in probate, family, employment, corporate, and civil matters. He also has extensive legislative experience, having worked in the California Assembly and California Senate in addition to the U.S. House of Representatives. Mr. Dietrich earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with a minor in Philosophy from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Juris Doctor with a specialization in Public Interest and Social Justice Law from Santa Clara University where he spent a summer abroad attending the International Institute for Human Rights (Institut International des Droits de l’Homme) in Strasbourg, France. 
Kevin Morrison
Kevin Morrison is an Attorney with the Sacramento Law Office of Bowman and Associates. Since joining the Law Office of Bowman & Associates, Mr. Morrison has spent most of his time as a member of the firm’s family law department. As such, Mr. Morrison has devoted a majority of his time assisting clients with various family law matters, including: dissolutions, child custody and visitation petitions, Child Support modifications, property division matters, and Temporary Restraining Orders, to name a few.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Bowman and Associates, Mr. Morrison received his B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of California at Davis. Mr. Morrison then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. 
Tonya J. Hernandez 
Tonya Hernandez is an attorney with the Sacramento Law Office of Bowman and Associates. Mrs. Hernandez’s practice is primarily focused upon consumer protection, bankruptcy and general civil litigation. Ms. Hernandez is dedicated to helping people find solutions to their unmanageable debt.
Mrs. Hernandez graduated with honors from SUNY Oswego with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a certificate in paralegal studies. She then worked for several years as a paralegal at a major cable company.
Mrs. Hernandez then attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. At McGeorge, Mrs. Hernandez earned a Witkin Award for Academic Excellence and was admitted to the Traynor Honor Society. She received degree of Juris Doctor with Distinction. 
Kenric P. Torkelson 
Attorney Kenric P. Torkelson is a family law attorney with over 30 years of legal experience.
In 1974 Kenric Torkelson received the degree of Bachelor of Science with a Major in Psychology. This was followed immediately by attendance at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Torkelson received the degree of Juris Doctor in 1977.
Having become a lawyer at the age of 25, Kenric Torkelson was fortunate to be able to join his father’s established law firm in Sacramento. Surrounded by experienced attorneys, Torkelson quickly learned how to be a successful negotiator, advocate and counselor. Working as a general civil law practitioner, Torkelson handled many types of cases. 
John A. Long 
Mr. Long is an attorney with the Folsom office of Bowman & Associates. John A. Long concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, consumer protection, employment, and wills and trusts.
